Program Dates

Karlton Healthcare Services (KHS) programs are designed to offer flexibility and convenience for students, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and international participants. Our programs officially begin every Monday throughout the year, allowing participants to join at a time that best fits their academic calendar, travel plans, or professional schedule.

We understand that travel arrangements, university timetables, visa processing, and personal commitments may vary. For this reason, participants who are unable to begin on a Monday can still start their chosen program on any day of the year with prior coordination from our team.

Whether you are applying for a medical elective, healthcare volunteering, internship placement, or community outreach program, KHS provides flexible intake dates to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. Our team works closely with each participant to coordinate arrival, orientation, accommodation, and placement scheduling based on individual availability.

This year-round flexibility makes it easier for both local and international participants to plan meaningful healthcare experiences in Kenya without being limited by strict program start dates.

We’re dedicated to providing the highest quality volunteer programs at the lowest fees, which make it possible for everyone, especially students, to travel internationally and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

We believe in 100% transparency. Rest assured, we never use middlemen. Your one-time registration fee of $100 covers our administrative costs. The low weekly program fee goes directly to your host family, and includes housing, food, project donation and minor expenses. KHS is a non-profit organization
